The challenge
Gapstack moves money across borders for businesses — which means every screen sits on top of compliance, liquidity and multi-currency logic. The brief was to make that complexity legible: design end-to-end fintech products covering cross-border payments, remittances and digital trade finance, for businesses and financial institutions operating across multiple countries and currencies.

Simplifying compliance-heavy workflows
I owned the design lifecycle from discovery to delivery across the global payments and trade finance platforms, with a particular focus on simplifying the financial workflows that usually frustrate business users most: onboarding, KYC/AML compliance, and transaction flows. The goal was a process that felt like filling in a form, not clearing a regulatory hurdle.
Visibility into money in motion
For finance teams, the dashboard is the product. I designed transaction experiences and dashboards that gave clear visibility into payments, liquidity and supply chain financing operations — surfacing the state of money in motion rather than burying it in transaction logs.

A design system for multiple countries and currencies
Operating across countries and currencies means duplicated effort unless the system is built to scale. I built and maintained a design system that kept the product consistent across multi-country, multi-currency platforms, so new markets could be added without re-solving the same interface problems.
Where AI fits into the workflow
Rather than bolting on AI for its own sake, I integrated AI-driven features where they removed friction from real workflows: intelligent reconciliation, fraud-detection signals, and workflow automation, designed to support — not replace — the judgment of compliance and finance teams.
Outcome
The result is a payments and trade-finance platform that scales design consistency across markets while giving businesses and institutions a clearer view into compliance, liquidity and risk — currently in active development.
